I’m honored to join the illustrious Howard University as a moderator for their first-ever Black Womxn’s Digital Summit!
This virtual event takes place on Thursday, August 13. Scroll down to see the schedule for my panel.
This year has shown us all the power and importance of digital literacy in our communities.
Back in April, I put up ONE post inviting my audience to a free series to show them how to create a digital product and set up a checkout page. I had 904 women sign up!
It’s such a blessing to be able to serve these women in jump-starting their digital strategy, especially because their salons, spas, beauty expos, and client events were completely shut down due to Covid-19.
Digital literacy and online marketing allow us to reimagine in-person beauty services in order to support our families, pay the mortgage, and keep pressing forward during these uncertain times.
I’m honored to speak on a topic I am SO passionate about with my Howard University family.
(Fun Fact: I’m currently getting my Master of Divinity at Howard University School of Divinity and I went to Howard for undergrad. Whoop whoop!)
I’ll be joined by the brilliant co-founders of Base Butter who’ll share how they’ve used the power of digital marketing to build a business for and by Black women, and the lessons they’ve learned about digital platforms as entrepreneurs.
